"I took my truck in for an antifreeze leak suspicion. Jay, the mechanic was extremely knowledgeable and nice. He took the time to inspect my vehicle thoroughly before explaining to me what had happened to my antifreeze. I was in and out in a short amount of time and he didn’t even charge me for the inspection. I would recommend this shop to anyone needing their automobile repaired. Edit: We moved an hour away from Sachse a few months ago, but still take our vehicles to Pro Automotive because Jay and Richard are the only mechanics we trust. My husband recently got a new truck, and the "check engine" light came on right as we were driving it home from the dealership. We refused to bring it back to the dealership to get it fixed for free despite Jay recommending that, and had it brought to Pro Automotive. Jay fixed it up and it's running smoothly again. "DEALERSHIPS, PLEASE ATTEND PROF. JAY'S CLASS ON PROFESSIONALISM I've been going to Jay since 2023. I keep going to him for 2 things, TRANSPERANCY and HONESTY. He focused on creating a lifelong professional relationship with me instead of being sleazy and taking more money from me. I initially took my car in for a brake job. He looked at it said that my front brakes were due for a replacement but the rear ones were good. Most shops and dealerships would've lied just to squeeze more and unnecessary money from me. Since then, I take my car to him. If I can do certain repairs on my own, he encourages me to and I take the hard jobs to him. His price is firm and fair and his honesty is a bonus. While looking for a house, being somewhat close to still come to his shop was a priority for me. I'll be 30 mins away from him but he has my business for life. His professionalism and honesty should be benchmark for other business and Stealerships."

"I took my car to Pro Automotive Repair for a second opinion after being told that my front and rear brakes needed to be replaced (by a place on Murphy Rd that does inspections).They quoted me $1000 and made it sound like it was an urgent repair. Jay inspected my car and confirmed what I suspected. There was nothing wrong with my brakes and suggested I have them rechecked in about a year. Jay was honest and showed integrity. He could have easily said the same thing and charged me a lot of money for an unnecessary repair. As a female, I can tell you that finding a mechanic I can trust is EVERYTHING."

"Jay and Richard at Pro Automotive are great! Little back story – took my vehicle to the dealership for an oil change and vehicle inspection, due to a fluttering noise that had begun the weekend before. My car has just over 70K miles and the dealership informed me that my extended warranty had expired and the exhaust manifold/catalytic converter would be $3K to fix. I had just paid off my car last month and was not prepared to spend that kind of money right now. I called a few places and Pro Automotive was close, could take a look and give me a quote the quickest. I took my car to them, they got under the hood finding the issue in no time, and they allowed me to take pictures of the hole in the exhaust manifold. They then mentioned that my exhaust manifold/catalytic converter should actually be covered under the dealer’s 8 year/80K warranty (something the dealership should have known!). I called the dealership, and sure enough, the part was under warranty and would be covered 100%. Pro Automotive could have easily quoted me to replace the part and made money off of me, but they were super honest and helpful! Since moving to Texas 7 years ago from a small town, I felt the most at home with them being down to earth and honest. Not only did they help me save some money and headache, but they gained a new customer. My boyfriend and I plan to call Pro Automotive first for any other maintenance or repairs needed for our vehicles!"

"New Starter & Radiator replacement - Called Jay this morning due to my car not starting and he was great in accomodating us immediately. He was very patient, explained to us whats wrong with my Nissan. While we were waiting I asked him to check on my daughters car and red flight flashing including push button ignition, he went to work on it and in a matter of 10 min it was fixed. Jay went out of his way to do that, which he didn't have to do. Hes very honest, even toured his facility to my husband and impeccably clean. "Called and asked if there would be a diagnostic fee before bringing the car in told them the car was running rough. was told if it was a no-brainer to figure it out there would be no diagnostic fee and if they had some time in figuring it out it would be $99 diagnostic fee brought the car in was told $1,331.22 to replace vale cover gasket plugs plug wires three coils 2 throttle body gaskets and air filter $396 labor $935.22 parts Total 1331.22.there was no diagnostic fee listed in the estimate.I told them I would furnish the parts I could get all those parts for $571 he then raised his labor to $ 465 said I was taking money out of his pocket. Told me I could pay the additional $69 in labor or come pick the car up and pay the $99 diagnostic fee. They charge $99 a hour Labor. I would post pictures of the estimate he gave me with all the breakdown of the parts and labor and the receipt where I paid labor and the receipt where I bought all those parts but this website review is not set up to post pictures.hes dishonest & his words where no good. and greedy."

"One of our friend's son tried to start his honda crv, and it wouldn't start. It was in the parking lot where Pro Automotive is also located. There are also two other mechanics in that parking lot. We went to them first. They all said things like the starter has probably gone out and it would cost hundreds. Jay came over to look at it the next day, only for us to find out there was a problem with the key. He didn't charge us anything and showed us how to bypass the system to recognize the key until we could replace the key with a new one. Now we use him for oil changes and all of our car services."

"Worth the drive! My A/C went out a few years ago. I decided NOT to get it fixed due to the 1k+ price tag and the fact that I was living in Washington state at the time. After all, the temperatures don't soar above 95 degrees for any stretch of time in the Pacific Northwest. He did a thorough check of the system; and consequently, he could give me an accurate run down of the labor and parts for the job. I scheduled the appointment for the next week on Monday. He was able to knock it out the same day. I arrived in the morning. Rather than sitting in their office all day, he gave me a ride to the library where I could lounge in comfort, use the free Wifi and take advantage of the magazines and books to read. When the car was ready, he picked me up in it. This allowed me to feel the power of the A/C working again. It's a month later, and my car A/C is still keeping me cool on these hot Texas days.
